Flowerless Centerpieces

Flowerless centerpieces may not work for all brides but there is so much that can be done it will win everyone over. The options are literally endless and can be tailored to fit any couple.

Depending on the season in which you're getting married you can use fruit; apples and citrus are always popular choices. But there are so many others that have such striking colors or shapes. Opt for cherries, starfruit, apricots, peaches...not only will it be eye catching but mouth watering at the same time. Think colorful food in general for a centerpiece. Perhaps chili peppers or even split peas surrounding the base of a candle. Gourds are always a great option as well.

Fruit not really your thing? How about using framed photos of you and the groom or photos from loved ones weddings. Black and white photos just have a romantic feel to them, but switch up the frames and sizes to keep things interesting. If the seating is assigned think about having photos at specific tables, photos with friends at their table will be great convo starters and photos of your parents or grandparents wedding at relative tables will be a sweet gesture.

Looking for a rustic and outdoorsy vibe...think mason jars, lanterns, birch bark, wheat and pine cones. A simple bundle of wheat tied with ribbon looks fresh but a down home feel at the same time. Fall leaves look elegant when stacked in a hurricane candle holder. The choices are limitless!!

Feathers, crystals and even ornaments can give your tables a hip feel. Peacock feathers are a great choice and can be incorporated into the bouquets to keep the theme consistent. Crystals can be strewn on branches or scattered on the table, either way the light they reflect is gorgeous. Seaglass is a fun option; it comes in a variety of colors and looks great! Don't let the Christmas tree have all the fun, use ornaments in a winter wedding. And no, your colors do not have to be green and red. The picture below does include flowers in the centerpiece but either way it is a unique and festive idea.

There are so many ideas for centerpieces and remember flowers do not always have to be a apart of it. Make your centerpieces unique, guests often spend a good portion of the night seated in front of them so they will surely have good things to say about them. Have fun and be creative!
